I am glad someone initiated this Smith Families Project. I am descended from a Smith born on the Isle of Man (my great great grandmother abt. 1812) Annie married Andrew McGraw of Down Co. Ireland 1830. Hopefully I might find some information on her.

My Smith connection is Richard Smith from Heptonstall. His children carried such middle names as Sutcliff, Fielden, and Greenwood . I am optimistic that this site will help me find family connections.

Thank you for all the kind messages left in the Guestbook to date, and for contributing to the Smith Project. All contributions are valued. Ian - as your Smith family have lived in Lancashire for a very long time - they most certainly have a place in our list, if you would care to submit your interests? Dear Carole: You've done a "brilliant" job on your webpage. Very well organized and userfriendly. You are one brave woman to take on the Smith surname but what a wonderful idea! There are so many of us Smith descendents and your webpage proves a jolly good place for everyone to gather and find long lost cousins. Well done! Sincerely, Lisa Dayley Burley , Idaho   USA
